About UsThe JSU Dazzlers are a pompom squad that performs at all Men's and Women's Basketball games. The team was patterned after professional dance groups such as, the Los Angeles Laker Girls, the Chicago Luvabulls and other national collegiate dance teams. The JSU Dazzlers do a combination of various dance styles that consist of modern, jazz, funk, and hip hop.

Our History |
The team was initially established by dance member, Maya Hayes, from the Jackson State University Dance Ensemble in 1996. That year, the JSU Dazzlers only performed at one home basketball game. The team took a hiatus the next year until they were reactivated in 1998, with over 18 dancers picked to be on the squad.

In the teams' 24th year inception, they have participated in three collegiate dance competitions. In 2006, the JSU Dazzlers placed second at the Annual Southwestern Athletic Conference Dance and Cheerleading Competition in Birmingham, Alabama. In 2014, members of the Dazzlers danced during pre-game of the Memphis Grizzly game.
